Did you know that our face has a whopping 20,000 pores? And across our entire bodies we have up to 5 million pores! The state of our pores can greatly influence the appearance of our skin and the types of skin issues we experience. But what exactly are pores?
Pores are the tiny holes in our skin that cover our entire body, around our hair follicles and sweat glands. They are an essential part of our skin’s health and function. Although pores are present anywhere that we have oil glands in our bodies, they are more concentrated on your face, such as in the “butterfly zone” of your face (the nose and cheeks).
The sweat and oil that we produce comes out onto the skin through the pores as waste and when this waste gets clogged in the pores along with dead skin and dirt, this is what can cause issues such as blackheads and acne.
Another issue caused by constantly clogged pores is visible, large looking pores, due to them being stretched by the dirt debris clogged inside them. This is most often seen around the butterfly zone, where we naturally have the most pores.
This is why it is important to ensure that the pores are consistently unclogged and cleared out to prevent skin issues such as acne or enlarged pores. Whilst you cannot actually change the size of your pores (biologically it is not possible), you can actually reduce their appearance by ensuring that they are clear of dirt and debris and clearing dead skin off the surface of the skin regularly.
We know that the state of our pores is such an integral part of our skin’s health and appearance, so this is what inspired the creation of our two new products that have launched today, the CALAMINE Pore Control Capsule Serum and the LHA Peel & Fill Pore Balancing Cream.
The CALAMINE Pore Control Capsule Serum is a lightweight and hydrating serum which has almost a gel-like consistency and contains moisture capsules which burst upon application and leave the skin feeling hydrated without any stickiness.
The LHA Peel & Fill Pore Balancing Cream is a moisturizing cream which is hydrating yet light, and leaves the skin feeling supple and rejuvenated.
Ingredients
As part of the 6+1+1 line, the new pore products follow our 6+1+1 formula of 6 base ingredients, 1 core ingredient, and 1 effective technology.
CALAMINE Pore Control Capsule Serum
The core ingredient in this serum is Calamine, a well known ingredient known as “pink medicine” prescribed for skin troubles in clinics. It also contains Zinc, which is important for the function and the maintenance of the skin barrier. It has excellent antibacterial action against inflammation and helps to remove acne irritation by purifying the pores
The effective technology in the serum is the patented ingredient TANNIN COMPLEX™, which is made up of various plant and fruit extracts. It as excellent sebum control and pore minimizing functions, meaning it effectively prevents pore expansion caused by active sebum secretion, helping to maintain healthy skin
LHA Peel & Fill Pore Balancing Cream
The core ingredient in this cream is LHA, an ingredient that can be used for daily chemical exfoliation even on sensitive skin. It gently exfoliates dead skin cells on the outer surface of the skin. Additionally, it has a pH of 5.5, which allows it to protect the skin even after exfoliation. It also prevents damage caused by UV rays and helps to form collagen, and also removes acne-causing bacteria to help clear the skin.
The effective technology in the cream is ACZERO™, a patented ingredient which features a group of plant extracts, and works to prevent and control excessive sebum production.

How to use
- On cleansed skin, apply a pea sized amount of the serum to each cheek
